References for the Pugio Database
#1
Hello,

I've volunteered to help build up a Pugio Database and will need to find my way into this. So far I only have

Obmann, Jürgen. Studien zu römischen Dolchscheiden des 1. Jahrhunderts n.Chr.. Archäologische Zeugnisse und bildliche Überlieferung. Rahden/Westf., 2000.

and

Petit, M. 1975: 'Notes sur un poignard romain du musée de Melun', Bulletin du Groupement Archéologique de Seine-et-Marne 14-15, 1973-74 (1975), 99-105

in terms of specific works on this topic. What else would you recommend?

Thanks for your help!

Try this page on Armamentarium as a starting point.

You know my method. It is founded upon the observance of trifles

Blogging, tweeting, and mapping Hadrian\'s Wall... because it\'s there
