Oh, she's wearing NO subarmalis! Confusedhock:

It\'s all an accident, an accident of hands. Mine, others, all without mind, from one extreme to another, but neither works nor will ever.

Niiiice!

I wonder if it would be cheaper to buy the dress and convert it than to start from scratch on a new squamata? hmmmm! Maybe we'll start to see more Roman reenactors in dresses!

Did anyone notice that there seemed to be more holes for the scales than needed?

I mean, they each had four holes but only attached by two.

Any chance they got the scales from a re-enactor site?

When I was in Ukraine, I was looking at some mail from India. I foound it unsuitable for my needs, it was too big. However, one of the ladies was going to fashion school in Moscow. She fell in love with the different colored mail, and took it with her. Later she asked me for the address where she could get more. She did her graduation 'fashion show' with mail dresses and tops.

For the popularity of mail, just search for 'chainmail' on Ebay. I also once worked with a fashion designer who had some CGI mail reproduced by 3d printing in modern materials.

The king of the scales and mail fashion was Paco Rabanne in the sixties. His method was joining the scales directly on the body of the model, though it could be a nice work if the model was not anorexic like Twiggy:
