A River\'s Gifts
#1
Avete Fraterii:

I direct your attention to this month's issue of National Geographic. There is an article titled "A River's Gifts" in it, which details the discovery and recovery of aritfacts from the Ljubljanica River in Slovenia.
Specifically of interest to us is the magnificent gladius pictured on p. 150 of that article and the Minerva belt plate on p. 154.
Is there additonal information available on these items?

Vale:

Hi,
information about the gladius is in Journal of Roman Military Equipment Studies:

Istenič, J.: A late-republican gladius from the River Ljubljanica (Slovenia), JRMES 11, 2000, p. 1-9.
