Hi all,
just realized that when it comes to talk about the details of a triclinium, I'm not sure at all anymore how exactly such a room would have been furnished. I'd guess the wall paintings would not have allowed for too much furniture to be standing around and up against the walls, because of the effect of the paintings themselves. So what was in there besides the benches and a (round?) table or 2 at all? Maybe a wicker chair for the matron of the house if she were to take part (well, that would depend on what time we're talking about I'd guess)?
Many thanks in advance for all answers!
