Do you want to be aboard of this ancient ship?
#1
Hi!

Everyone interested to see himself/herself aboard of that ancient freighter (Oneraria Navis of the Corbita type), is invited to submit hi-res photos showing you in ancient costume.

Any position might go, and you can submit more than one photo!

Submissions to Entries [at] TerraRomana [dot] org

Men, women required. Sitting, standing, working, talking, grouping up, pulling long tows (ropes), bending down (like from a tower), everything goes!

And here my question for the experts: who knows which ship I have here reconstructed? A hint: it is from the 1st century AD, and based on an ancient sketch (graffiti). Who knows the name of the ship you see here?

Greetings,

Sven

Vortigern Studies:

No.

Caius Tarquitius:

No. Humans for scaling: Exactly that is why I ask you all to send me your re-enactment photos. I need plenty persons in civil costumes of the 1st century AD, in order to put people aboard of this ship and many others I do.

Please send your photos (hi-res) to:

Thanks!

I want to see more guesses, before I reveal the secret of this ship's name. Tongue

Its not the "Europa" from the Casa della Nave di Europa in Pompei?

Its grafitti ;-) ) The swain, flag etc...looks the same. Instead of the little boot (dingi) behind in the original.
I agree with Danno!
