Here is my latest illustration.
http://community.imaginefx.com/fxpose/j ... 30737.aspx
It represents a Sassanian Clibanarius (6th Century AD).
As allways every commentary is usefull.

Hallo JP,
very nice painting - I like it very much. Only out of curiosity: does it mean that HäT will publish a new series with Sassanian clibanarii or - referring to Your other fine paintings - Marius' mules, or Etruscan warbands?

Great work, JP! I like especially the "sinister" look of that sassanian clibanarius  ! Could you perhaps make also a reconstruction of roman clibanarius/cataphract?

I remember seeing a Sassanian shield blazon like this before. Can you tell me the reference for the palm motif? I tried reseraching it a while back, but couldn't find any visual reference.

In fact I am doing an illustration featuring a 3rd century roman cataphract.
It will take some time to finnished but I will post it asap.
If you want, whenever it is finnished I can send you (via e-amail) a high resolution image of it.
Just send a private message to me about it.

This illustration was based on Rome's enemies (parthians & Sassanid Persian) by Osprey.
I made it to test some new techniques.

Very nice! Are you just doing these as a hobby, or are they going to be published somewhere?

Hello Stefanos
Thank you for your comments.
I wonder if you could help me?
I am thinking of doing a Greek warrior, but something that was not seen very often represented in an illustration.
Can you give any suggeston about it?
Best regards
