Not sure where this would fit: Matt's a big reenactor and fields a lot of email, so it seems this is a good place to mention that he's now off the government .mil address:

Ave Richard,
might you change the '@' to something else. Or the curious collecting bots visiting RAT might 'provide' his new address with unwanted mail...

I've garbled it up a bit. You're right Heiko, it's not a good idea to post unscrambled email addresses here on RAT.

Which is also a point for any other gov't employee, dont' use your official email address for non-govt stuff.
Matt has his address in clear text on the web page; might be good to point this out to him there as well.

Actually, I see he has spaces in his email-address. Not sure how effective that is, but it might help.

Thanks, Rich and everyone, I've been trying to use anti-spambot formats for a while, actually. And changed all my sites over to the new address yesterday.
My government work address still works, but the place is really starting to get hyper about security and stuff, and of course we're not SUPPOSED to be using it for any personal stuff. So well past time I cleaned up that act! Changed it on all the various fora I frequent, as well.
Yahoo is a pain, but hopefully it'll work.

Matt, why not just use a regular pop-3 addy at home? I dunno, I HATE webmail, however both yahoo and g-mail aren't bad as they go. Wondered when big brother would get around to stomping on your pee-pee for using that e-mail addy for your hobby...

Because frankly I usually have more time at work to do online stuff (lunchtime!) than I do at home! So I need to be able to get to it from anywhere.

Oh, they haven't yet, or I might not be talking to you now... Just don't want to force someone's hand, such as supervisors I happen to like!

Hmmm...Matt, you should look into your ISP's online email access. I use Bell Sympatico, and I can access their email server through Hotmail's site. Quite handy.
Oh, I sent you an email too, btw on hoplites.
