Custom Galic wars Legionary ACTION FIGURE! 1/6th scale (12&q
Lots of pictures!!
This project took a few weeks. Everything was made by hand except for the sword, shield, sandals, and spears, which are made by Ignite.
My goal was to beat the toyish look of the Ignite models with a bit more realism and better scale. Ignite models are great, The last two releases look MUCH better. See the pict of the centurion at the end, His clothing does not fit very well.

Anyway here are the pictures. I did do some research, and Ill admit right now, the belt is pretty far from being accurate, but the real ones were so complicated, there was no hope of doing it in a sane amount of time. This being my first custom, I was really going for looks. I grabbed an old dusty ww2 dragon figure, painted up the face, and got started. I had no clue what it would end up like. The helmet is just blobs of epoxy, with tin plates stuck here and there until it looked rightish. If anyone thinks it looks like a certain type of galic helmet, please lt me know!

I plan on doing a lot more in the future, but I was delighted by the results of this first attempt!
Thanks for checking this out!.
Looking good there! Have you got construction pics?
And might I suggest a thin brown line in the lower eyelids? That can remove the staring look.
Greets
Thanks guys!
Unfortunatly I have no construction photographs, But I do have lots of mesurements and patterns, please ask me any questions and ill tell you all I know.
The main thing is, keep a constant eye out for possible materials. Also, Go to the legioXX site and divide everything by 6!

On a 1/6th scale board I got this link of a far better looking work in progress check it out!
I will try the brown line, did u mean where the eye meets the skin or just the lower eyelid (im pretty new to this stuff), Were you refering to all three figures or just my heavily customized one?
Thanks I really appreciate any help!
Where the eyewhites meet the skin. Just a very thin line would be enough prolly.
Greets
He looks quite good. For all the effort you deserve a better figure without the jointed limbs. I recall that Dragon makes a British 8th Army figure that has realistic full rubber molded legs, and there is a Vietnam era GI with full molded realistic arms.

I noticed that Ignite also makes a legionary in fatigue uniform with tools. The spade is such a faithful copy of the one they saw in my book that it even has the same square repair plate!
the arms and legs are so thin that it looks kinda odd.
---------------
