New Manfredi- The Tower
#1
I think that authenticity may be low on the priority list based on the cover......

I wouldn't judge content by cover art. Some ediutions of Lindsey Davis and SPQR are graced by pretty comprehensively awful stock art copied from 19th century paintings. This one's not too bad by comparison. At least it's recognisably Roman.

That said, it *is* Manfredi.

For very surprising that is the cover always I look the content of the book; I see it a bit.
Already you know that often the lid not correspond with the content of the book!

Reminds me of a film where German soldiers in WWII are billetted in a tower...when they realise that the walls were built to keep something in Confusedhock:

The book isn't new; it is precedent the Last Legion (the original title is "The tower of silence") . The romans appears only in the first 10 pages, the rest of book is a fanta-historical thriller in years '30.
