Two small things: I would have written 'Ravenna', instead of 'Rome' and the man on the dyptich is 'Boethius' (or, at least, that is written above him... :wink: )

In this post I would like to be grateful to all the persons or groups that have been interested in taking part in this great project. For us, Legio I Germanica, is very important, because we weigh that we have very much support on the part of all of you.
As I said to you days before, we want to assemble all the late roman and to create an Imperial Court, I never dress before.

The original fragments are from El Fayum, as far as i know.
This one is only a derivate, because the original maesurements had a far too small inner circle to fit a normal shield boss. I have adapted the pattern to fit one of our standard bosses.

As far as it is published, the shields at Trier don't come from El Fayum, just a generic and very disappointing 'Egypt'

A bit late, but I had been thinking about offering me and my group as slaves, doing minor work. Sceneries often lack of this social aspect, and you are a Leg. GERMANICA. So you should have some germanic servants. And some of us speak Spanish and understand even a bit of Catalan.
