Hi, all.

Very impressed with this place, having had a wee look about it.

I am a Scottish Highlander, and my main interest of relevance here is the archaeology and history of Iron Age Scotland - and of the Highlands & Islands in particular. I am extremely interested in the Roman excursions into the north of Scotland, and, unlike most commentators, I really do mean the north! This has led to a wider interest in all things Roman. I'm looking forward to learning more, and getting to know some of you in the process.

Hi Duncan, welcome to RAT. I guess Agricola and Septimus Severus are the emperors that you'll be most interested in...

Cheers. Yes, definitely interested in those - and Agricola's predecessors in Britain!

Hi Ducan,

Welcome to the boards...

Have you been to Archaeolink at all? its in Insch (well Oyne just outside of insch) which is at the base of bennahie, which is for most us the most logical location for the site of Mons Graupius! its very interesting and we run a small roman reeanactment contingent from there.

If you fancy popping down let us know Smile

Again welcome to the boards!
