The sad thing is that the profit is so gigantic (something like over four times the profit margin of a drug dealer and probably a thousand times less risk?) it would be very worthwhile for the criminals to spend even more on a more accurate repro. I do feel very sorry for the buyer, regardless of whether they should have known better or not.

That's a very convincing job of aging hock: , it would be pretty scary if one of those gents got a hold of one of the better helmets made from a single piece of metal and gave it that type of aging treatment :evil:
