Did anybody read [amazon]A. Ferrill, Origins of War[/amazon] (1997)? Is it a good book?

I read it a while ago, Jona (revised edition is 1997), and I haven't seen it reviewed anywhere.

It is a fairly broad-brush approach, necessarily selective (it's only 200-odd pages) and (most importantly) only goes down to 326 BC.
