Pyrrhus Question
#1
I understand that after Pyrrhus defeated the Romans at Heraclea (280 BC), he sent the armour he used in the battle to the temple of Athena at Lindus on Rhodes. Does anyone know the source for this?

Cheers,

Thanks Jim,

That will be it, the Lindian Chronicle/Temple Chronicle of Lindus (FGrH 532).

BTW The book is not going to be called 'Warriors of the Roman Empire', but 'For the Glory of Rome' with an explanatory subtitle, which is somewhat better. Smile

Cheers,
