Maybe anyone can help me, I am looking forward to get myself a Macedonian Kausia. Does anyone got some information abouit it? Especially about material and patterns. Maybe someone knows a trader?

Sad Good luck to you. The hat maker I had found to make me a petasos called me and cancelled the whole think. I'm now trying to find a way to make one myself.

As for the Kausia, order one from Afganistan Smile

Actually I wasn't joking. If you could find an afgani hat or order one you would save your self a lot of trouble. Well, people might stare you funny but still.....

We can get petassoi here, for £70, Spyros.

I agree, Kallimachos's best bet is to buy an Afghan cap.

Kurt though after Alexander the Afgani cup found its way west the kafsia was not that. I have post debunking that arrount the forum.
Please search "Kafsia" or "Kausia" or "Cafsia".
