Salve coneheads!
Here are my helmets:
-old Deepeeka gallic H from armae.com
-norman helmet made by vikingcrafts.co.uk
-corinthian brass helmet by deepeeka
-"Rus" viking helmet by die-ritterschmiede.de
-Burgh Castle helmet by thelonelymountainforge.com
What I would like to have in the future:
-Montefortino
-Berkasovo/Concesti/Deurne/Heteny-style late roman helmet
-Intercisa late roman helmet
-some late roman spangenhelm-style helmet
-Philip II macedonian helmet from manning imperial but that is only wishful thinking I´m afraid!
Opinions of my helmets:
-Deepeeka gallic H is acceptable, although "old" as we all know now, the bowl is too wide for me
-norman helmet: very cheap & a good buy
-corinthian brass helmet: too big, nose guard is too crooked and fragile, hate to say it but it is crap...
-"Rus" helmet: very good price (200 euro`s with a mail aventail), good looking and good quality, great buy!
-Burgh Castle helmet: I bought it in parts (175 dollars), very sturdy, easy to modify to be more authentic, great buy! (Joe Piela seems to have disappeared to Narnia and since I bought my helmet the price has rocketed sky-high!)
