Greek chiton

A "Doric style chiton". The era that represents is from late Geometric period to late clasical period.
It was based on the piper boy of the "Chigi vase".
Made of 100% linen, stiched with silk thread.

The initial constuction was a rectangular piece of cloth that had a hole made in the middle. Each individual can adapt the length to his size.

I have to thank my wife who patiently stiched the menadros decoration on the red stripes with black silk thread.
After that the edges of the rectangle were stiched with red silk thread with the red stripe holding them together.
