Neck Scarf
#1
A question please -

In the opinion of the board - should (if indeed they ever existed) the neck scarf worn around the neck to prevent chafing be bandanna shaped or scarf shaped i.e. a square or rectangular and long. Views please.

Many thanks in advance

I've worn both, square for a linen one in hot weather, rectangular for a woolen one in cold weather. Don't ask me why though... Big Grin

Since we maynot know if shapes and material were based on anything more than, possibly, availability of the fabric and/or personal prefence, how can we answer this question?

I've read somewhere they were just normal scarf shaped, much like ones today.

In fact, I just found the threads:

I am just trying to decide what to go for before I start cutting the wool. I know historically we will probably never know. I just want to stop the flipping chaffing...

I preffer triangle, it covers better the cervicals.

As stated, individual taste. I'd go with scarf. But then again, that's just me.
