Can't tell - my Google Earth (4.0.2413 (beta) for Linux) borked at your .kmz file!

If I get time I'll scan my slides of the battlesite and put them on Flickr (I have a whole load of Hadrian's Wall slides there I shall be releasing soon).

Expert info about the views from Bennachie from a friend on a walking forum:

"Yes, from Mither Tap [the highest point on Bennachie] you can see the sea and the ships waiting outside Aberdeen harbour.

From Mither Tap and Craigshannock you can also see Mormond Hill by Fraserburgh, Mount Battock, Clachnaben, Ben Rinnes, Corryhabbie Hill, The Buck of Cabrach and a lot of the hills towards the Cairngorms."
