Roman Dogs?
#1
Avete,
I hope this question hasn't been asked before.

Is there evidence historically for dogs with
Roman troops or Emperors?
Surely man's best friend would have been
a companion to someone.
Any famous ones(Rin-Tin-Tinicvs?)

Not necessarily war dogs,per se.

Thanks,all,
I had forgotten about the mastiff.

Not exactly what I was looking for, though.
You know, more like pets.
Any Emperors with beloved "lap dogs"?

(nice to hear from you,Comerus.)

Thanks,Faventianus. (Unfortunately, I can't read Spanish.)
