That\'s it, folks... I\'ll have a go at making a linothorax!

Quote:May I add another list Paul?

Regarding the dipylon shield, it cost me so far material wise:

120 euros for the wicker main body

28 euros for the wooden frame (Bless Practiker stores and their DIY dep)

5 euros waxed heavy thread

I haven't bought leather for the outer cover yet but from what it will probably cost something around 200 - 300 euros.

Total: 453euros (hopefully)

Seams to me, here in Greece (AGAIN!) the costs are SUPER HUGE, comparing with the costs, that our dear British are spending...

(And, I would not mention, that a SIMILAR profession in England, gives triple salary than the Greek one!... My buddy told me about a British nurse's salary, which is similar with a Greek... surgeon's salary!)

Damn... To make a descent Spartan outfit, like I would,... it will cost here the prise of a kitchen, a fridge and an air conditioner!!!
('Cause, I guess, making a "Linothorax" is CHEEPER than a "Bell-type" full-bronze cuirass...)

...dori d`eutolmos anhesthe, ...mi phidomenoi tas zoas. Ouh gar patrion ta Sparta!
