It is only now that I noticed that the Ritterling project has been started again and that two legions were added in 2006. THANKS!! I've linked to them.

We're still working on it, but we could use some more translators! Big Grin

Well, I could give it a shot. Which legions still have to be done? I take it that the original text is available on the main site?

Plenty of legions are still available Hans, and no, the original texts are only in the old RE. Do you have a favorite legion you'd like to try?

Well,

I like III Augusta and XXII Primigenia, but I think Ritterling has written huge articles on them due to the extent of information known about them. And I would want to start off with a smaller article. Any suggestions?

And do I need to get the RE article myself? (I could ask an old friend who is still at uni as an assistent, but I won't see him for a few weeks).

III Augusta is basically translated, but XXII is still available, though I'm not sure how long it is. It is fairly long though, as you suspected. How about XXI Rapax?

What's still free: can you give a list?

Salvete Hans and Jasper,

Hans quoted:

Quote:How about XI Claudia?

Jasper answered:

Quote: ... How about XXI Rapax?

Boys - there is an unbelievable coincidence:

1. Hans would prefer to translate XI Claudia. But Jasper has given it to me for translation and I have not started yet due to time problems.

2. On the other hand long time ago I copied the original text of XXI Rapax and started to translate already, but at that time - IIRC - that legion had been distributed to another translator by Jasper already and so he asked me to translate another one.

So my suggestion is, Hans will translate XI Claudia and I will continue with XXI Rapax. Both we would be glad. A further advantage: I scanned the pages of XI Claudia already and could send them to Hans, Jasper You would not have to send XXI Rapax to me, as I have it already.

What do You think?

I think that's a most excellent solution.
