Greetings

Im intending a trip over to Holland and looking for new places to see (with a Roman bit Big Grin )

Ive been to museums at
Leiden, Nijmegen, Heerleen, and Den Haag
also Archeon (many times!!)

also visited airbourne museum at Oosterbeek

any other recommendations

(Ive thought about the ship museum(?)- where the Roman ships are)

Hi Mark,
The ships are in the nautical archaeological center in Lelystad. The center is right next to the Batavia wharf, which is certainly worth a visit. The ships were not on display I was there last time (over two years ago), but some of the finds were.
Will you be with II Augusta again during their stay this August?

Hi Jesper

Im not going to the Archeon show this year. I think Im planning to go Holland the week before the event.
(Ive sort of dropped out of re-enactment for a while now- just started to get re-interested in Roman stuff (apart from still buying books and visiting sites!!) and working on my website)


Its also supposed to be an opportunity to practice my Dutch ! :roll:
