Conquest of the Gauls
#1
I was reading an old post a couple of days ago and in the tread they were talking about the book "The Conqest of Gaul" by Julius Caeser. Some one recommened it but said to get the complete version, not the condensed version, they said it started "in the beginning there were three" or something like that.

I'm pretty sure it was on Roman Military History & Archaeology. I'd like to get the book but all I found was a book with 272 pages, since I can't read the first sentence, I have to order it, does anyone know it this it the complete book?

I think this should be in the book section but I'm posting it here because I think this is were I found the thread.

Thanks
Steve

Hi Steve,
What you want is Julius Caesar, De Bello Gallico 'On the Gallic War', sometimes published as Gallic Wars or Conquest of the Gauls. AFAIK the Penguin edition is unabridged: [amazon]0140444335[/amazon]
Greets!
