Flavius Crispus coming to Frankfurt / Cologne!
#1
Avete, fratres Germanorum!

Looks like I'll be coming over for a quick, 1-2 day visit to Frankfurt / Cologne early next week. Maybe arriving Monday night or Tuesday morning and leaving Wednesday.

I'd love to meet up with any fellow Romani in the region, maybe for dinner and drinks? Also, if you've got nifty little Roman trinkets for sale, I might be buying!

Contact me via this board at hy home email: [email protected] / [email protected] .

Greetings Crispus,
i hope you know that theres a distance from 200 km between Cologne and Frankfurt a.M. (even more for Frankfurt a.O.).
I ve nothing to sale, but perhaps, i dont know for now, i ll have some time to meet in Bonn, the former roman Bonna, right close to Cologne.

Ave, Gabinus!

Looks like my schedule is real tight, so a stop in Bonn seems unlikely. Maybe next time! I do get to Germany once a mont or so, usually Munich, but sometimes Frankfurt. This will be my first visit to Cologne, though. What are some good Roman sights to see on a tight schedule?

Is "Flavii" the group you're with? Nice website, though my German's pretty bad and I have a struggle reading it.

Salve Crispus,
sad but perhaps another time Smile
In Cologne i just can tell you to visit the RGM (roman-germanic museum), you find it close to the Dom in the center of the city. Cant miss it. Great stuff in there, also you have to know a bit about romans to find it real usefull.

Also the praetoirum is now open again. Both you can find here (also in german the page, but the localisation should be possible http://www.museenkoeln.de/roemisch-germ ... asp~inhalt )
The entrance is under the city hall.
If you have time after this (which i doubt) i would tell you to visit the Dom. Its not roman of course, but who never was in missed a real great thing.

Flavii is the group, yes, and i m sorry thats still not in english but we work on it. Thanks for the compliment Smile

I wish you a real good time in Cologne.
