Normally a good tip, yes- it's definitely what you want for painting thin lines freehand- but it's not good for painting with any kind of edge, whether it be tape, stencil or straightedge for the exact reason it's good for freehand work: because thin paint flows. You actually want the paint thick here. Don't apply it thickly of course, but you want it to flow as little as possible once it's applied. :wink:
