I found it interesting to note that in one of this year's "Slingshots" Adrian Goldsworthy, who has quickly become essential reading for anyone interested in Roman Military History, wrote an army list for WAB. So if a top-rank historian like AG can play WAB, then it can't be as bad as the DBMers would have you believe!<br>

Personally I don't like the mechanics WAB uses, but I like their enthusiastic approach that trys to bring the coolest wargaming period alive for the novices. DBM is too cryptic and hard for novices to access with all it's tournament oriented rules and acronyms. If I couldn't play my own rules then I'd play WAB before DBM any day.<br>
