Yes, I cut down the neck-guard of my Deepeeka Intercisa too. It is much better now ... Big Grin

Why not cut down the vertical part with a third (ish) too, to get the thing back into proportion?

I'm sorry Robert, could you re-phrase that. I'm not sure I understand.

Sorry, I've been engaged in a technical discussion these past days, about my new helmet from Cezary.. Big Grin

As I see it, you've cut the horizontal part of the neck plate. The dimensions between the vertical and the horizontal parts is about 2:3. Now you've cut back the horizontal part, should you not also cut back the vertical part of the plate?

If you're still mystified, I can send you a Photoshop thingie tonight.

Oh I see, that's like trimming both sides a little bit ...? I never considered that.

Thanks!

I can see with the legio I Germanica that most of the deepeeka helmets have the neckguard and the cheek guards bigger than the original´s ones they didn´t fit me not because the guards but the shape of the helmet:

My head can´t fit in the deepeeka´s helmets because have a circular seccion instead the normal human crain are oval.

Someone can tell me what is the real shape of the late roman helmets?
