The photo is a bit dark, its a rich blue, not black. I'm not that daring!

Thanks! I never realised the colour-connection until you just mentioned it Faventianus.

It must be sub-conscious...

Same happened to me with my old shield and my tunic, maroon and yellow... but now my new shield is white and red, and the tunic rests the same.

Hi Mithras,

Quote:I'm much better with a brush than a needle, and I'm thinking of trying a 100% decorated tunic someday, in linen, with linen decoration that I have hand-painted using ...??? acrylics? I'm certain I can produce some nice work that I can then stitch on.

I did. I used fabric paint with a template (stamp) to decorate my clavii.

My white tunic looks a lot like Tarbicus' avatar

BTW, Mithras, what color are your orbiculli ? Are they purple ? The picture makes them look pinkish. Very nice, though, I must say. I like the trim.

Hello! We've put a link up to your Foederati website because its so cool and full of great Late Roman images! I'm particularly impressed with this Dagulf - and the picture of him surrounded by filles jolies (pardon my French!). Are his clavii that hot! Tongue
