Hi,all.
I would like to add that a pyrimidal shape is
stronger than the other,head-on.
I saw a program on shields that tested early Saxon shields(round)
and those a little later which were more conical and the later ones deflected arrows and other blows more effectively.
Perhaps the same consideration was given in regards to bosses.
