Roman Hero\'s
#16
Tiberius Claudius Maximus.

Legionary;
brief history

Born/raised in Phillipi (check spelling), son of auxiliary. Enrolled in legion during the recruiting drive for Emperor Tranjan's first Dacian War. Served in the first Dacian war. Transferred to cavalry. Fought in the second war, became Roman hero for capturing Decebelus, Dacian king. Enrolled to stay on as a veteran after 25 years in the cavalry. Fought with Tranjan in Mesopotamia. Died sometime after Tranjan (date uncertain).

I like this story. A rank and file infantryman with a distinguished career. Rather inspiring as I plan to join the millitary.
-thanks for reading.

A karma point for the courage to join up in these difficult times!

God bless you.
