Hi I am trying to learn more about how the Roman would have finished Lorica Musculata around the 1st century. I have read I think where some could have been painted, some gilded gold and silver etc, some polished and some left to a more natural finish. Does any one have any knowledge of this? Also this does not even get in to the metal of leather debate
But mainly I am interested in finish.
