Robert,

Thanks a lot!

I PMed my tocayo (namesake) a while ago, but I had forgotten about this sticky thread... So happy birthday to David as well...

As for me, I got Tom Holland's Rubicon as a gift, as well as a couple of Historical Fiction novels, one about P. Cornelius Scipio Africanus (titled Africanus) by Spanish writer Santiago Posteguillo, and then about the Fall of the Empire, The Sword of Attila, by Michael Curtis Ford, which also looks very promising...

So, you see, "happy Roman birthday" to me... :-) )

Again, thanks!

My pleasure David. hey, that's a good one to make a tradition - can the birthday boys 'n girls please tell us what they got for their birthday? Especially if it's related to the forum?

Anyway, today it's the turn of Michael Griffin from Toronto, Canada.
