Warning - not for the meek!!!

Of course it's Helge! 8)

The hole in my Hamata is a gift from him.

About the fire shots: We can't be arsed to make proper fire pots, so it's a torch thing made from cloth wound with rope and drenched in kerosene (I think). We use a simple sling out of chain (remarkably similar to the things you put on your car wheels in really hard winter conditions) and a piece of board shielding the catapult from combustion in case the sling fails to release properly (since good catapult rope is expensive and such a bother to restring, hehe).

Ignite! Unus, duus, tres... jacuta!

A calendar! What a nice idea.

Every month a picture of roman soldiers, different eras, different scenarios (rhine, danube, hadrian's wall, africa, jordan, praetorians in Rome itself), different scenes (guard duty, fighting with barbarians, parades, training, camp life, off duty...) in different seasons....

A calendar produced by RAT? I would buy it! Maybe there are enough nice pictures around to already make a first draft.

well, i don't know who else is working on it, but i'd certainly be glad to help with tweaking and photoshopping any images people want to send me and assembling them into a finished calendar.

how does everyone feel about cafepress-- as a graphic designer type myself, i'm not sure i'm completely happy with the quality and lack of control, but on the other hand, it really removes a lot of costs and headaches for us to deal with.

any ideas...

cafepress is okay, Sats, but are you really going to join in the full monty style? It will increase sales, but will cafepress allow it?

Hosting RA.com ourselves is cheaper than hosting RA.com & using Ezboard, but it's still not free. That's one thing.
