For those of you restricted by low light and having to handhold your camera, you may want to check this out this photo repair application, especially if you have a lot of photos already that are blurred or streaked. Looking at the examples it's a very nice piece of software.

Has anybody tried it? Are the results worth the 45 bucks? And, last but not least, is it easy to use for not very handy persons?

It\'s all an accident, an accident of hands. Mine, others, all without mind, from one extreme to another, but neither works nor will ever.

Hi Aitor, I downloaded the demo version and it seems to work well. If you want to send me a test image I have 7 loads left and am more than willing to give it a go. My email is (repolace the AT with @):

Send me a few if you like, all the better to test it with.

Quote:* the Ostia Museum is inconsistent. Sometimes, it is not permitted to take photos, sometimes, they allow it. I think it has much to do with the mood of the guards.
This has been my experience too. Many of my loricata are from the Ostia Museum. I bet if I had used flash, I might have gotten a sneer, but I didn't want to push it. Otherwise I had no problems. Time before last, they made me check the camera at the door!
In fact, aside from the Uffizi and the Vatican, this has been my impression of every museum/church in Italy. Last April I walked into St. Ivo's by the famous Italian architect Borrmini and shot everything with flash. Last time before that I got an earful for just taking out the camera.
Actually, the Egyptians are the most consistent I've ever met. They generally forbid everything without prior approval and permits from the SCA. Getting approval is a bureaucratic hassle but they almost never turn anyone down with a legitimate research purpose.
Quote:As for publishing on the web: the document I had to sign in Brussels forbade the publication in print. This has an amusing result: I can publish a photo on the web, but if you decide to print it, I break an agreement!
The laws in Belgium and France are nuts. My prof got a letter for posting a picture of the Victor Horta House he took himself from the street!
