Ancient Greek Festival
#1
The First International Ancient Greek Festival will take place on June the 3rd and 4th, 2006 in Watford (the Athens of Middlesex) and it will be VERY special. We have participants coming from Greece itself, as well as France, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Spain, the US and Australia. See website <www.webspawner.com/users/ancientgreekfestiva/index.html>.

Some of you may have heard about this elsewhere on this site, but it was clear some people hadn't, hence the "blanket coverage".

Would you like me to forward details to the British Archaeology discussion list ( http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/lists/britarch.html ) and the Historical Novel Society? It will reach all sorts of interest parties.

Unfortunately, my (late Roman) re-anctment group has an event on the 3rd-4th June :-( ( Otherwise, I could've come along, and hefted roof tiles at hoplites, according to Stefanos.

Oh damnit, we could have made it a team effort...
Can I borrow a few tiles then please.... or will I have to revert to appropriate soft veg and eggs.....

The enemy is less likely to get wind of an advance of cavalry, if the orders for march were passed from mouth to mouth rather than announced by voice of herald, or public notice. Xenophon

Do, please, sow the seed like wild oats, we need to reach all the interesting parties we can! Thanks for offering.
