THings are NOT easy for use in Greece which is an irony. We cant find someone to make a proper apsis though i have been thinking of barell makers to make a shield for us.our budget is as low as it goes but we keep it up nomatter what.another irony is that though there are many copper artisans here because of the church they only do church things and they have so much work they cant bother with us!but well keep trying and be the best we can be.thanks for your kind words brothers and keep up the good work

Please pardon my ignorance, but who is Stamouli? I gather you're quite excited about this...

It was an old 1970 song about a sargent Stamoulis - veteran of the 1940 Albanian campaighn. Quite popular in its time (therwere more WW2 veterans alive you see).
Kind regards

Dunno if anyone else noticed, but Themistoklis, of the Hoplites Mores, has posted a message in the Festival guestbook, which says "WE are gonna come!"

We don't seem to have any Cretans (from Crete). Can anybody locate a Hoplite re-enactment group from there? I have a soft spot for the place, because my wife and I had our honeymoon there...
