Thracian boot are well known and documented.
Potery shows Hermes with a shorter type of boot and possibly upturned shocks over them. The images that come quickly to mind are in Osprey's Hoplite or Ancient Greeks picture of the original and the reconstruction in "The Spartan Army" Athenain herald at Platea.
Are these type of boots acceptable for renactor doing peltast or hamipos impression?
Kind regards
Stefanos
