Major update by Travis Lee Clark Lorica Musculata
#1
Hello,

The website that many have pointed me to as the most researched essay of the Lorica Musculata (Muscle Cuirass) is over at http://astro.temple.edu/~tlclark/lorica/index.htm and it has just been updated with many new photos and research material.

The site is maintained by Travis Lee Clark and he does welcome comments and is willing to entertain any other hypnosis… I’ve corresponded with him a few times; he’s a good one to talk to.

Here he ponders over the construction and materials the Cuirasses were made from here
http://astro.temple.edu/~tlclark/lorica ... eather.htm

Just a side note… I’ve begun working on my Subarmilis for my Roman Officer Impression. I’m using an off white linen/silk fabric for the base with vegetable tanned leather for the Shoulder pteruges.

Thanks,
Anthony

Very interesting web page!

I bring here in adition some examples located at Andalucia (Spain) and posted by the Junta de Andalucia's web:

At Tarraco we have more than 4 good examples of thoracatae. And a bronze mould of Augusto de Prima Porta.

Hey all, this is Travis.

I am looking for beta-testers who are interested in going over the site and seeing if all my links work.

I just added a new page, after many requests, for a buying guide for the lorica musculata.

http://astro.temple.edu/~tlclark/lorica/guide.htm

Also on the horizon, a page about other objects that are part of the officer's/legate 'kit'.

Thanks!!

Travis

May I suggest a PM to the originators as the posts are so old?

You can use the Wayback machine to access the site (this should be the latest snapshot, but there are others as well). But some of the pages or images may still be unavailable this way.
