My hamata shirt after 1 and half years
#1
I currently have about a third of the basic shirt done and likely have another couple of years to go till it's finished:

The construstion is alternating riveted and solid with a 1/4 inch inside diameter.

Very nice! Once upon a time I made a butted mail coif and that took forever- I can only imagine the work involved in a half-riveted shirt...

I may have sufficient material left over to make a second shirt. If you're willing to wait and reimburse me for the time (about 3 years, this is only a hobby) and material, I just might go through all of this a second time. I know, I'm crazy.

Salve Neuraleanus, That certainly is beautiful work. I wish I had the patience for an undertaking like that. Andy (gaivs antonivs scaeva)
