Privacy
#1
With the new Profile Control Panel, which allows for much more private information, people will be understandably anxious about privacy.
Perhaps it is good to tell here that neither guests (i.e. anyone not registered & logged-in), nor bots can look at user profiles. Unregistered users can only access your website link, if you provided one. Email, phone and any detailed contact info you enter is screened off. Try it: log out and click someone's name. The system will ask you for password and username.
Romanarmy.com will NOT share, sell, or in any other way make this private information available.

PLEASE NOTE: RAT is visited by bots every day and while they cannot see information you put in your profile, they CAN see (like anyone) the information you put in your posts. Therefore, it is HIGHLY recommended you refer other posters to your profile for your email address or hide it from bots by replacing @ by AT or NOSPAM. Some bots, however, see through that too. So the message is: BE CAREFUL SHARING YOUR MAIL ADDRESS!

So far I have been using quote to reply to people. Is that the best place to do it? This computer stuff is kinda new to me but I really think the site is really professionally done and very interesting and a lotta fun to get into. I must say I was scared at first but this site is run so well and the people who use it are a real good bunch. Flavia aka Carolina Pellizzari

Hi Flavia,
Not sure why you're asking in this thread, but using quote is fine by me.

a bot is a program which scans a website. After this, it sends spam to email adresses it found on that website.

Any information you put in your profile is visible by members. Only administrators can see your email address however.

Jasper, your avatar is looking kind of yellow. Is your liver ok?
