RSS: Really Simple Syndication. The easiest thing to compare it to is that it converts a website into an email list. Sort of. In the case of RAT it is a page that changes to show the most recent posts. Readers are programmes that process such code. You can get them separately, but Thunderbird (email prog), for instance, has it too.
