How wide do you think that the mail strips over the shoulder should be on a lorica hamata ?
When looking at different stone carvings , they sometimes look very narrow , and other times they are pretty wide.
The gallic (early) types are falling over the shoulders , but I am trying to make the hamata look like early 1st century.
