at first glance it resembles the Icelandic pony....very popular with the Viking types..or possibly one of our British west country breeds...
I think the 'Exmoor' was typical of a chariot pony in the Iron Age...

Their whole site is pretty amazing....I just wonder where and how they get the free time to perfect their skills like that...
I don't think we have anything on horseback like that in the United States until you get to the Civil War re enactors.
