Blacksmiths on American TV
#1
Greetings
I read on another forum that there is a series on RFDTV in America about blacksmithing. Some of the forthcoming programmes cover knife and sword making and armoury.
You are also shown how to set up a basic home forge.
Thats all I know.
Here is the Program listing, I guess it is 'Anvil and Forge' [url:1xt3klwd]http://www.rfdtv.com/weekscontent.asp
Program showings timezones page [url:1xt3klwd]http://www.rfdtv.com/schedule.asp?Timezone=-1

The enemy is less likely to get wind of an advance of cavalry, if the orders for march were passed from mouth to mouth rather than announced by voice of herald, or public notice. Xenophon

Hi folks

I have a basic forge setup which I use at shows, weighs about 20Kg, not including hammers, anvils etc .... if anyone is interested I will gladly post piccies.

I was surprised at how simple it was to make, it can heat about 1.5" length of rod.

All the best

I'd love to see it too- even being able to heat metal only 1.5" at a time would be useful.
