Got this from Prof Beacham of Warrick Univ, who has done many Roman stagings, including making Roman sets:
As it happens about ten years ago, I built a second temporary Roman stage at the Getty Museum in Malibu, and staged Plautus upon it. You can read articles about it on the Didaskalia website.
