Greek javelin thongs

I've been trying to find the original Greek name for what the Romans called an amentum. I've looked through my books, Googled, even looked at Greek-to-English dictionaries, with nothing to show for it D

Jason is right Paullus.
But if you were seeking javelin thongs the Greeks refered to them with the term VRONCHOS (loop) also.

VRONCHOS (loop) ΒΡΟΓΧΟΣ
thong = ΑΓΚΥΛΗ
