Regarding David Brown Books, I will wait a bit, then drive the 12 or so miles to their warehouse in Oakville, CT and buy it off the shelf. They let people in during the week. They don't store by subject but by title, so as long as I have a title, I'll be able to locate it.

I have it.
It's a catalogue "sensu stricto". So, don't wait a didactic book or so. It have good explanations. The graphics are only photos of the pieces and some maps.
The pieces are:
Some sword parts, including hilts, pommels, pieces of scabbards. Interesting are some examples of spatha chapes, both in metal and in bone.
pugio parts, including 3 complete sheaths and 3/4 blades.
Spear and pila points and ferrules.
Plumbatae: 3 points, one of them with the lead weight.
A huge collection of bone bow laths.
Arrowheads, Bolt-heads and caltrops
Segmentata fittings.
Hamata hooks.
Squamata scales.
Two cheeckpieces of helmets, a lot of helmet handles and suports for plumes.
Shield parts: fragments of umbo and metal reinforcments.
Belt pieces: a good collection of buckles of all periods. Including some openwork plates of II/III century. Very intersting is a complete buckle plate with dolphin's heads surmounted by revese horse heads, of IV/V century.
Horse harnesses and pendants of all the kinds.
One parade armour piece.
One complete beneficiarius point.

photo's is what I meant with pictures. So it consists mainly out of diagrams (=rawings of the pieces)?

IMHO, no pic can match a set of good archaeological drawings from one object and that is the problem with many finds catalogue. It seems the the publishers cannot afford the costs of having the objects properly drawn... :evil:
Well, at least a B/W pic is always better than nothing at all! :wink:
