Pteruges
#1
Avete,

I'm constructing a set of pteruges and would like to attach them individually to a leather vest. Can anyone recommend a good type of rivet I can use ? If so, where can I buy them ?

Thank you very much..

I think you'd better sew'em not individually but as if they were attached at a belt, in fact I cut'em in a broad leader band leaving the last 2" uncut, being the belt and the Peruges the same piece of leather. That's what I did with my subarmalis, and fit quite well.

Ave Faventianvs,

The reason I'd like to go with rivets is so that I can easily make each pteruge overlap horizontally (slightly) in order to prevent gaps from showing the tunic underneath.

Ok, I see.

Otherwise you can make 2 rows!

Post a pic then!
