I fear the worst, for some reason...
But come to think of it, after "Vercingetorix" EM and "Gladiator" EM the worst will be difficult to achieve..
Ah.. Yes, I forgot "Cleopatra" of a few years back...

And also: the only decent Caius Julius Caesar I know of is Robert De Niro, and he's not getting any younger..

Edited by: Antoninus Lucretius at: 2/26/02 1:48:20 pm

Here's an even scarier thought:

...tonight's movie of the week, .... Joe Pesci as Julius Caesar!
Co- starring Danny Glover and Mel Gibson.

they have photos of the sets and drawings of the costumes. These look good, but I confess I'm partial to Egyptian gauzy costumes for Cleopatra. The sets look colorful and rather like Pompeii, much like in a Connolly book.
Richard Campbell, Legio XX.

Dirty rumors! I might acually enjoy seeing that, but my list of qualifying factors is quite long, since I'm just as discriminating in my critiques of all things theatrical as I am of the historical.
